Corporate Telecommunications Directory
View500 has been deployed into a number of organisations as a basis for their corporate or multiple Agency wide White pages telecommunications directory service fully integrated with a range of PABX workstations. As an example for a large NSW Government Agency View500 with its support for native XML data has been integrated with MSAC consoles from T-Metrics (http://www.tmetrics.com/Products/msac/index.htm) and in Australia from http://www.wbitts.com.au/. These consoles integrate with the phone system and allow automatic call establishment. The staff that have such a MSAC Console device attached to their PC (Windows 2000/2003 & XP have a toolbar installed in IE. In order to make phone numbers from the directory available to the device, the customer only needs to use the View500 WebDUA templating capability to add XML-like tags around the phone numbers and this made these numbers into active links in the browser which, when clicked, would be picked up by the toolbar and used to dial numbers by the console device. View500 also provides support for a range of searching tools designed to make it really easy for an end user to find Directory content. These include approximate matching on a search request, including phonetic matching and spelling correction, truncation matching, abbreviations, keyword matching, synonyms, and combinations of these.
